AGREED VALUE - is coverage where
the insured and the insurance
company agrees on a value for
the vehicle and the value can
not be depreciated at the time
of a total loss. The insurance
company has the option to find
a replacement vehicle or pay
the full value of the vehicle
agreed upon at the time of the
inception of the policy. There
are companies claiming to offer
Agreed Value policies, but are
actually Stated Value policies.
Agreed Value policies will state
this term on the "policy " or
the "declarations" page of the
policy.
ANTIQUES - are generally 25 years
and older. They are
usually classified as high
valued vehicles pre
WWII.
CLASSICS - are 15 years and older.
They are classified as
anything pre 1946.
MUSCLES - range between 1963
and 1972.
MODIFIED/CUSTOMS - have no age
limitation, but have the
engine, body, or drive
train changed.
